Cookie policy
Flex-Delivery BV (Waversesteenweg 139, 1560 Hoeilaart, Belgium – VAT BE 0650.931.663) uses cookies and similar techniques on www.flex-delivery.be. Below you can read which ones, why, and how to manage them yourself.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit it. On your next visit, the website reads those files again. This is how our webshop remembers, for example, what is in your cart, which language you use and that you are logged in.
What are other cookie-like techniques?
Besides cookies there are techniques that work in the same way, such as local storage and session storage in your browser, and small pieces of code (tags or pixels) that send a signal to an analytics or advertising service when a page loads. Wherever this policy says "cookies", we also mean these techniques.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are not placed by Flex-Delivery itself but by parties whose services we use, such as Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads). Their own privacy terms apply to those cookies and to the data they collect: policies.google.com/privacy.
Which cookies do we use? In short:
- Functional (necessary) cookies – the webshop does not work without them. We do not ask consent for these.
- Analytical cookies – to measure how the website is used, so we can improve it. Only with your consent.
- Marketing cookies – to measure our ads and make them more relevant. Only with your consent.
You make your choice in the cookie banner on your first visit. You can change it at any time by deleting your cookies (see below): the banner will then appear again.
Functional or necessary cookies
These cookies make the webshop work properly and securely. They are only used for flex-delivery.be itself and not to follow you on other websites.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| session_id | Keeps your session: your cart, your chosen delivery day and whether you are logged in. | up to 3 months |
| frontend_lang | Remembers the language you use on the website (NL, FR or EN). | 1 year |
| website_cookies_bar | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner. | 1 year |
| visitor_uuid | Recognises your visit within our own website (e.g. so you don't lose your cart). | 1 year |
| local / session storage | Temporary storage of the number of products in your cart and of forms. | until you close your browser or clear it |
Analytical cookies
With Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) we measure how many visitors our website has, which pages are viewed and where visitors drop out of the order process. We only use this information to improve our website and range. IP addresses are shortened by Google and we do not share data that identifies you personally.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors and visits to produce statistics. | up to 2 years |
Marketing cookies
We advertise via Google Ads. Marketing cookies show us whether an ad led to a visit or an order, so we don't waste money on ads that don't work and you see fewer irrelevant ads.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Google Ads: measures whether a click on an ad leads to an order (conversion tracking). | 3 months |
Browser settings
In your browser settings you can refuse cookies, or choose to be notified when a website wants to place one. If you refuse functional cookies, the cart and ordering will no longer work correctly. See the help section of your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, ...).
Deleting your cookie history
You can delete cookies that were placed earlier at any time via your browser settings (usually under "Privacy" or "Clear browsing data"). On your next visit to flex-delivery.be we will ask for your cookie preference again. Note: if you delete your cookies while not logged in, the content of an unfinished cart is lost as well.
The Flex-Delivery privacy policy
Personal data may be processed through cookies. How we handle your personal data and which rights you have (access, correction, deletion, objection, ...) is explained in our privacy policy.
Final remarks
We update this cookie policy when our website or the regulations change. The latest version is always on this page. Questions about cookies or privacy? Email us at [email protected].
